A Bit About Me
I consider myself to be an eclectic practitioner. I employ many different therapeutic approaches including Narrative, CBT, Solution Focused, Trauma Informed therapies, Mindfulness practices, ACT, and Behavioural Modification strategies. I tend to work primarily from a Narrative Therapy approach, which is an approach to counseling that seeks to be respectful and non-blaming. It centers the client as the expert in their own lives and views problems as separate from the client themselves.
Narrative Therapists assume clients have many skills, competencies, beliefs, values, commitments, and abilities that will assist them in reducing the influence of problems in their own lives.
I also provide and incorporate "energy psychology" modalities, into my practice. I offer these practices to those clients who indicate they are open and interested in a more holistic approach to managing stress, trauma, anxiety, and depression.

I am passionate about helping others explore the links and connections between their environment, work life, relationships, and physical health to their own current state of mental wellness. I have 11 years of clinical experience and 19 years of past experience working within various areas of community mental health.
